I really like 'Szczyrkaido'

Since 2016 Polish snowboard star Wojtek 'Gniazdo' Pawlusiak joined Nobile Team. He found some time to talk to us. 

When were you happiest?

I'm learning how to stay happy all the time, it's difficult tho but working on being better human being is always good. Trying to be sensitive and forgiving. Avoiding anger and reckless.

Which living person do you most admire, and why?

My dad, he passed away already but for myself he's a role model. He was respected for what he did to develop the sport and he never had enemies.

What is your greatest fear?

Fear against the injuries because your point of view is totally different while injured and You have time to rethink your life. 

Which book or movie changed your life?

There were many influential books and movies but the most memorable one is definately Paulo Coelho - Alchemist. So good and mind opening. 

Who did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be Jens Weissflog, German ski jumper. 

What is top of your bucket list?

My list have too many tops, it's just too long but that's why i'm so excited !

What is the worst job you’ve done?

There's no such a thing as the worst job. The job is something that you have to do. I could say working in the blinds factory and earning money for my first snowboard trip but I could also say that was the most beautiful job because it has changed my life. 

Where would you like to live?

Somewhere in the woods, surrounded by pure nature. 

How do you relax?

I listen to Miles Davis, Bonobo, Caribou.

What single thing would improve the quality of your life?

See other people smile more.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a good person who did a lot to develop snowboarding in Poland.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

"Let us hurry to love people they depart so quickly"

Where would you most like to be right now?

At home with my family and friends, snowboarding !

Tell us a secret - why Nobile?

Firstly, because I want to develop myself by using the most technically advanced gear and make a mark on European snowboard scene. Secondary, Nobile factory is located very near to where I grew up and they let me create my very own pro-model board and look for the process of production from A to Z.
