I picked up a couple of friends Friday night at 11 p.m. Sounds like a plan for the party, but no! It was the kiting time! The tide was getting higher, so the lagoons were filling in with the water. Full moon, no clouds. Wind for 12m T5 kite.

I picked up a couple of friends Friday night at 11 p.m. Sounds like a plan for the party, but no! It was the kiting time! The tide was getting higher, so the lagoons were filling in with the water. Full moon, no clouds. Wind for 12m T5 kite. Perfect! We are in!

I didn’t know what to expect. Lagoons are pretty small here and surrounded with rocks, also under the water, so any bad move could finish bad for the board or the kite. We pumped the kites and got inside. The moon was quite bright, but we just needed to be aware of not to tangle with each other, and not finish on the rocks. The sensations were so much different, compared to the ones you usually have, when you are in the water, as you had to feel it more than see. You feel the water, the kite and the wind. It was a bit like riding blind, only seeing the silhouettes of people and kites.

It filled me with so much joy and I was happy to share it with my friends! We were riding to the moon and back.
