Pangea Festival

Story by Joelina GerardsThe Pangea Festival is a sport and music festival in Northern Germany under the “Never stop playing” slogan. It took place from 24th to 27th of August. I was invited to compete at the Jever FUN Wake the City contest (which was a part of the festival). The setup for this competition was a pool with the System 2.0, a rail, a spine kicker and a VW T3. It was challenging, especially the transfer to the roof of the bus, but much fun to ride. Qualifications went down on Friday and I had to ride against some of the best female German riders. I fell in my second run but luckily my first one was good enough to get my ticket for the finals on Saturday. With a backlip 270° out on the rail and a transfer from the left kicker into a boardslide on the bus I had my personal best run. Only Marie Grüneberg did a better run with a big HS FS 270° transfer to the bus. In the end I became 2nd and had a good night partying with all the girls (and boys).
